MORAIRA SAILING CLUB

The Club Náutico Moraira was founded in 1975 as a non-profit sport association with the aim of promoting the practice of nautical and sport activities.

At the first social meeting, and after approving the composition of the Board of Directors, José Mallent Castelló was appointed as the first President of the Club, who remained at the head of the organisation until 1979.

Subsequently, Jesús Navarro Ariza (1976-1989) and Francisco Zaragosí Moliner (1989-2000) also held the presidency of the Club.

From its beginning until now, the main objective of the Club Náutico Moraira has been, on the one hand, to promote nautical sports and, on the other hand, to provide all the users of the Port with the greatest comfort during their stay and the best services for their boats on a daily basis.

For this, it has a team of twenty-two employees, true experts in port management and nautical services, who are at your disposal in the different areas of the Club (Administration, Reception and Careen).

The Club Náutico Moraira, which currently has 750 members, obtained a 30-year concession in 1980 for the construction and operation of the Port of Moraira and subsequently in 1987 obtained an extension of this concession for an additional 20-year period.

Since 1985 and thanks to the efforts of all its members, the Moraira Marina was completed, the Club Náutico Moraira has positioned itself within the nautical-tourist sector of the Valencian Community as one of the best value for money offers. It was also a pioneer in obtaining the Blue Flag for Clean Seas in Europe, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education to those marinas that stand out for their respect for the surrounding environment and comply with the highest standards of quality in their port services.

Since 2009 the Club Náutico Moraira has held the AENOR ISO 9001 quality management certification in its four main areas of activity: Dry Dock Management; Fuel Station Management; Mooring Rental Management; and Organisation of Sport Events.

In conclusion, the Club Náutico Moraira is an entity that reflects the efforts of all its members to promote the nautical and sport activity, the quality of the port services provided, as well as the satisfaction of all its members and users.
